Creating a Thriving Workplace Culture

In today’s fast-paced world of healthcare, we realize the importance of creating a positive workplace culture. Here at The Plaza at Wildwood Senior Living, we understand to achieve this culture, employees must trust their workplace.

Each August, The Plaza at Wildwood participates in the Great Place to Work Survey. This is a time where staff can be open and honest about their feedback. The data is collected by a third party, so it truly is anonymous. It is so important for us to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly to know what we can work on to truly make our community a great place to work.

As the Business Office Director, I make it a priority to promote employee appreciation. I always take time to recognize our hard-working team members. We show our appreciation by stocking the breakroom with plenty of snacks, preparing cook-to-order meals during their shifts, involving them in the orientation volleyball game, and playing fun games during the employee town hall.

We believe when done right, making work a fun place creates a workplace culture that helps people thrive, promotes retention, and makes us a great place to work, which in turn makes us a great place to live.
