Each year, Arrow community leaders select a Word of the Year to guide their focus and intentions both personally and professionally. As the Executive Director at The Plaza at Wildwood Senior Living, the start of a new year brings an opportunity to reset, refocus, and prepare for what lies ahead.
For 2025, I have chosen the word growth. This word aligns perfectly with the season both I and The Plaza are experiencing. As a new Executive Director, I see our community in a time of learning and progress. We are working to understand each other and determine the best path forward. Growth will be the anchor for how I lead my team, support families, and care for residents.
Growth represents collaboration, improvement, and development. I expect this focus to show up in ways I can foresee, such as leadership development, stronger relationships, and enhanced care. However, I also anticipate moments of growth that will surprise and shape me throughout the year. By striving for improvement together, we can create a stronger and more connected community.
As 2025 begins, I am eager to see how growth will influence my leadership and personal journey. Choosing a Word of the Year is not about having all the answers. Instead, it is about setting a meaningful intention and remaining open to the experiences it will bring.
